Jae Rivera

Jae Rivera, PMP, CFRE, brings 17+ years of experience in for-profit education, finance, and nonprofit sectors. She has a broad spectrum of leadership experience in fundraising, grant writing, capacity-building, program development, operations, project management, and event planning. Her work is distinguished by successfully developing strategies that have enabled organizations to reduce risk while gaining a competitive edge. Her past leadership experience includes working in MBNA Bank’s exclusive management development rotational program and as Operations Manager for the University of Phoenix’s Atlanta Campus (the largest campus in the Southeast region). There she managed a staff of 17 across six learning centers. Her work included planning, developing, and implementing the University of Phoenix’s six-figure commencement program (graduating over 1500 students in a 2.5-hour ceremony). Outside of defined responsibilities, Jae also led her team to generate more than 3 million dollars through an innovative facility use program across her learning centers. Jae is an active member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), the Grant Professionals Association (GPA), and The Project Management Institute (PMI). In 2009, Jae was a founding charter member and Vice President of Public Relations of Rising Phoenix Toastmasters in Atlanta, GA. She is currently a member of PMI Toastmasters Atlanta. Jae earned her BS in Business Management from the University of Phoenix in 2009, the Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) credential in September 2019, and the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification in September 2021. Jae is a seasoned speaker and trainer on project management and a range of philanthropic topics. Her charitable work focuses on a program she created, Lupus Take 5, which supports survivors of Lupus.
