President's Message
Greetings and Salutations!
It is my honor and priviledge to serve as your President. It is an exciting time to be a part of this chapter!
The November Chapter meeting lands on Veterans Day this year. As a USAF vet (as well as married to a USAF vet), this is a very special time of year. We are honored to recognize those who serve and have served. Freedom is not free. Please join us on Nov 12th to celebrate.
PMI requires that each chapter review its By Laws periodically. Your Board of Directors has recently completed this review. Proposed changes have been reviewed by PMI and are reflected in the 2018 Chapter By Laws document. The next step in the process is for the Chapter Membership to approve the updated document. In the next few weeks you will receive an electronic ballot from PMI. Please signify your approval by completing the ballot when it arrives.
By Laws - Significant Changes
- Modified Board member term limits to allow no more than 10 consecutive years as a Board member.
- At the recommendation of PMI, moved non-required Board positions from By Laws to policy & procedure document.
- Renamed Secretary to VP Administration.
- Moved Board of Directors start date from 1 January to 1 April. Elections shall be held in January each year.
The Chapter Annual meeting will be held in conjunction with the December Holiday Social on Dec 10. I look forward to seeing you at soon.
