Member SpotlightFaye Middleton is our June Member Spotlight. Faye has been working as a Project Manager since 2000 and acquired her PMP in September 2005. The day she took her PMP exam, she arrived early and while waiting in a New York City park, a pigeon decided to relieve himself on her silk shirt. It must have been good luck as she passed on her first attempt along with the five coworkers from her study group. Since becoming a PMP, she has worked for Smith Barney (now Morgan Stanley) wealth management delivering their quarterly glossy investment report covering 16 products. Although the quality of paper has been reduced, the report is still distributed today! Faye made the move from New York City to Charleston, SC, where she lived and worked for the next 10 years. It was quite a culture shock for her! She took a role for Blackbaud, which is primarily a software development company for nonprofits, as the first PM for their Hosting Department. As the company acquired competitors, she managed a broad range of IT projects and began managing audits. She recently started a new job in the healthcare industry and credits her PMP certification for opening doors in her career. When not working, Faye enjoys working on home improvement projects where all her time and money goes! Thanks for being our June member spotlight Faye! Chapter SpotlightOur very own VP of Marketing, Eddie Sumner, has been honored with a selection for the PMI Leadership Institute's Master Class of 2020. This is a year-long leadership development program that combines interactive learning, experiential activities, case studies, and personal assessments to equip PMI leaders with the techniques and frameworks to work with and through others to drive organizational success in their chapters and companies. Please be sure to pass on your congratulations to Eddie!
